    25 th Sunday in Ordinary Time – Year   - A There is a Place for Everyone in God’s Vineyard Isaiah 55:6 – 9           Philippians 1:20–24, 27        Matthew 20:1–16 My dear brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus! Today, Jesus gives us a beautiful and challenging message: “There is a place for everyone in God’s vineyard.” We live in a world where many people feel that they do not belong. A young person may say, “ Nobody understands me.” A person without a job may feel, “ I am not useful.” An elderly person may think, “ Nobody needs me anymore.” Someone who has made mistakes may say;  I am not worthy to come back to God. Even in our families and communities, there can be people who feel ignored, rejected or forgotten. But today’s readings tell us something very different: God does not forget anyone.   24 th Sunday in Ordinary Time – Year A Forgive as We Have Been Forgiven Sirach 27:30 - 28:7     Romans 14:7 - 9         Matthew 18:21 - 35 Dear brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus! Today the Word of God speaks to us about something that is at the heart of Christian life:  forgiveness . We all know how difficult forgiveness can be. It is easy to say, “I forgive you,” but when we have been deeply hurt, forgiveness can take time. Sometimes we remember the words someone said to us, the betrayal we experienced, or the injustice done to us, and the wound remains in our heart. Today, God invites us to look at forgiveness not from the perspective of  what others deserve , but from the perspective of  the mercy we ourselves have received from God . Today, the Word of God speaks about something very important in our relationships: how we care for one another when someone is going in the wrong direction. We all make mistakes. None of us is perfect. Sometimes we need someone to correct us, guide us, or simply remind us that we can do better. The readings of today tell us that true love does not ignore another person’s mistakes, but it also does not condemn them. Every one of us carries a cross. Some crosses are visible, and others are hidden deep within our hearts. It may be a family problem, financial difficulty, loneliness, disappointment, rejection, failure, illness, lost of someone whom we loved or the burden of caring for someone whom we love. When we face these struggles, we often ask, why is this happening to me? Sometimes we even feel that God has abandoned us. But today’s readings give us a different perspective. They remind us that the cross is not the end of our story. When we carry our cross with Christ, it can become a path to transformation and new life.
